Tierlock Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 23, 2026

Your Privacy Rights

Tierlock LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company with its principal place of business in Missouri. We make personal information available to residents of every state on the same terms. Rather than offer different rights depending on where you live, we extend the following rights to all users, regardless of residence, and we apply the more protective standard where state laws differ.

Subject to verification and to the exceptions described below, you may:

  • Know what categories of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for which we use it, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it, and the specific pieces of personal information we hold.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable, readily usable format.
  • Limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
  • Appeal any decision we make on a request, as described below.
  • Be free from retaliation for exercising any of these rights.

Sensitive Personal Information

Some of the information we collect is treated as sensitive under state law. This includes Social Security numbers, in whole or in part, government-issued identification information, date of birth and age-verification information, precise location or location-verification information, account credentials, financial account information, and biometric information generated during identity verification.

We collect sensitive personal information only where it is reasonably necessary and proportionate to verify identity and eligibility, to prevent fraud, to comply with legal obligations, and to operate the service you have requested. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We do not sell sensitive personal information, and we do not sell personal information of any kind. You may direct us to limit our use of sensitive personal information to those purposes at any time using the contact methods below.

Biometric Information

Some identity checks include a selfie capture, which is used to confirm you are the person shown on your identification document. The capture generates a biometric identifier.

Verification is performed by Plaid Inc., our identity verification provider. Plaid performs the selfie capture and stores the biometric identifier, and Tierlock can access it. We do not sell or trade biometric information.

Biometric information is destroyed when the purpose for collecting it has been satisfied or within three years of your last interaction with Tierlock, whichever occurs first.

Before any selfie capture, we present a separate consent screen that explains what is collected and why. We do not begin a capture unless you consent on that screen.

Opt-Out Preference Signals

We recognize and honor opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, transmitted by your browser or device. When we receive such a signal we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser or device, and, where you are logged in, for your account.

Retention

We retain each category of personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, and then delete or deidentify it. Identity-verification and screening records are retained for the period required by the operator’s own legal obligations and by applicable anti-fraud and recordkeeping requirements. Transaction records are retained for the period required to support settlement, dispute resolution, and audit. We do not retain personal information for longer than is reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Blockchain Records and the Limits of Deletion

Part of the service writes transaction records to a distributed ledger. Records written to a public blockchain are, by design, permanent. They cannot be edited or deleted by Tierlock, by an operator, or by you, and they may remain publicly available indefinitely and outside our control.

We limit what is written to the ledger. We do not write your name, government identification number, contact information, or identity-verification documents to any blockchain. Ledger entries use pseudonymous account identifiers and cryptographic references rather than direct identifiers.

If you ask us to delete your personal information and we grant that request, we will delete or deidentify the information we hold in our own systems, including the records that connect a pseudonymous ledger identifier to you. The ledger entry itself will remain, and after deletion we will no longer be able to associate it with you. Where an exception under applicable law requires or permits us to retain particular information, we will tell you which exception applies.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Submit a request by email to privacy@tierlock.com or through the Contact form on our website. We will acknowledge your request within ten business days and respond within forty-five days. Where reasonably necessary we may extend that period by a further forty-five days and will tell you why before the first period ends.

Before we act on a request to know, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, we must verify that the request comes from you. We will ask for information sufficient to match you to the records we hold, and we will use any information you provide for verification only. We will not require you to create an account in order to make a request.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you, and we may contact you directly to confirm.

Appeals

If we decline your request in whole or in part, you may appeal by replying to our response or by writing to privacy@tierlock.com with the word “Appeal” in the subject line. We will review the appeal and respond in writing within forty-five days, explaining the reasons for our decision. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general to submit a complaint.

Non-Discrimination

We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, provide a different level or quality of service, or suggest that we will do any of those things because you exercised any right described in this policy.

Changes to This Policy

We review this policy at least annually. If we make a material change, we will post the revised policy with a new effective date and, where required, provide notice before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this policy is the date it was last revised.

Identity Verification Notice

Name
Biometric Identifier Notice and Consent

To verify your identity, Tierlock, through its identity verification provider, Plaid, will take a photo of your face and create a mathematical representation of it. That representation is a biometric identifier.

We use it only to confirm you are the person shown on your identification document and to prevent duplicate or fraudulent accounts. We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from it, and we do not use it for any other purpose.

It is permanently destroyed when the purpose of collection has been satisfied or within three years of your last interaction with Tierlock, whichever comes first.
